Top local fashion designer Lisa Cappalli presented her Spring- Summer 2010 collection “Xpressionism0 10” at the Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Theater in Old San Juan.
Proceeds from the exceptional fashion extravaganza went to benefit the San Juan School of Plastic Arts.
For this most exciting and unique fashion event, Lisa invited ten well-known local artists to present their individual creativity on ten Lisa Cappalli Designs which were then auctioned to the highest bidders in a silent auction during the cocktail reception and evening event; all proceeds going to the School of Plastic Arts. Never before had Art and Fashion joined forces for such a worthy cause and artists donating their talents included Carmelo Sobrino,    Víctor Vázquez, Daphne Elvira, Yelyn Vivioni, Charles Juhasz-Alvarado, Ana Rosa Rivera,            Rabindranat Díaz, Carlos Rubio, Bobby Cruz, William Bass and special guest artist from New York, Teresa Celemin.
While guests enjoyed the silent auction exhibition of Wearable Art by the ten amazing artists, guests also enjoyed a welcome cocktail by Plaza Cellars and at 10:o0 p.m. a Theatrical Presentation “Xpresionismo 10”, with designer Lisa Cappalli presenting her Spring-Summer 2010 Collection on stage, “L’homme qui a perdu l’amour” by Omar Robles and the special participation of the young soprano Valerie  Alysee kept the celebration going on and on... Organizing everything perfectly was sister Carla  Cappalli who was pleased that Tensy Ann Vela was the Mistress of  Ceremonies and everyone enjoyed the juggler Arturo Gaskins, the Clown Yan Collazo, and Singer Gabriela Esquivel, and Actress María José who all helped to make the evening a smashing success and of course special thanks to First Lady Irma Garriga de Santini for all her help and support.
