Two die in latest crime spree

Seventeen murders took place in Puerto Rico over the weekend, raising the number of killings to 795 this year or 90 more for the same period last year.
Two men were killed in separate incidents Sunday night in Toa Baja and Luquillo, police said.
Javier Ortiz Santos. 29, was shot several times at a steet in Sabana Seca Hill, Levittown. He was taken to the Diagnostic and Treatment Center and then transferred to the Río Piedras Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m.
In Luquillo, the body of Rafael Ortiz Flores, 26, was found in the bathroom of a house located in Amapola Street in the Barrio San Martín at 7:45 p.m. He had been shot several times.
